In March 2026, the Egyptian Embassy in Doha issued a public clarification denying rumors about evacuation plans for Egyptians living in Qatar. The Embassy confirmed that the security situation in Qatar remained stable and that consular operations continued normally. Cultural and Public Events Katara Cultural Village Foundation collaborated with the Egyptian embassy on several cultural activities: A large public screening of the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum attracted thousands of attendees in Doha. An Egyptian cuisine and cultural heritage event featuring traditional dishes like Koshari was held at Katara in late 2025, attended by diplomats and cultural figures from across Qatar.
